This large untreated color change sapphire mined in the Umba Valley of Tanzania has a very rare and desirable color change shift from lavender indoor with incandescent and some LED lighting to colorless in sunlight. The color shift is not subtle. A proper rarity.
We cut this stone in a modified original pear cut design suited to the rough. Polished to competition grit. Minor inclusions typical of sapphires from this locale this size, let alone for this particularly stellar color change. A remarkable gem.
