14K Gold Pendant with Natural Sapphire, 6.3 carats, Natural. Untreated. Color Change. Umba, Tanzania

This is a very large natural blue sapphire we cut to an original modified oval design fitting the rough. A rare find for a color change sapphire at this size, weighing in at 6.3 carats. Polished to competition grade luster at 100K grit. Very clean and large for a sapphire in this size range with highly desirable color change profile. Some rutile needles (aka “silk”) visible on magnification as is typical even among most fine Umba sapphires at this size. Steely to medium blue in most lighting conditions, but with a pinkish lavender visible with some indoor lighting.
