This sapphire is remarkably clean and rich royal blue with a hint of yellow zoning and teal cross table hues. In daylight, this gem appears a striking vivid blue. It is not too dark. The cut is an intricate original faceting design, a modified elongated oval with approximately marquis proportions that we crafted to accommodate the very rare untreated, unheated sapphire rough from Nigeria we were working with. This gem is sufficiently stellar that it would make an excellent choice for a ring stone.
